His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin Rinpoche will preside over the nine-day Grand Vajrakilaya Puja at Kalimpong Sakya Monastery, marking the anniversary of the Great Sachen Kunga Nyingpo. The Grand Puja will include performance of the Vajrakilaya ritual dance by His Holiness, leading the monks of the monastery.

The unbroken Khön Vajrakilaya lineage traces its origins to Guru Padmasambhava in the 8th Century. Vajrakilaya embodies the enlightened activity of all the buddhas and is renowned for power in removing obstacles, destroying forces hostile to compassion and purifying spiritual pollution.
Kalimpong Monastery benefactors will be invited to participate virtually and make offerings during this Grand Puja event through the Meeple.com service. The event will also be livestreamed for the public on the Kalimpong Sakya Monastery Facebook page.
